Black Anvil handgemaakte messe

Handmade knives by master craftsman Simon Streicher. His hunting knives, penknives, biltong, butter and cheese knives are all beautifully crafted using forged steel with wooden, bone or horn hilts, and it is possible to see his studio by prior arrangement.

Hiking in and around Rosendal

Mountain biking in and around Rosendal

The undulating terrain of the village itself is perfect for those who prefer easier mountain bike rides, however, if you want to be punished, several gravel roads lead out of the village, providing more challenging mountain bike routes!

Fishing

Anglers are welcome to cast their rods into some of the dams in and around Rosendal! Some farmers don’t allow angling, so please ask locals where fishing is permitted. It’s a great way to soak up the serenity of our unique and peaceful village.

Rosendal tennis club

The Rosendal Tennis Club invites all visitors to come and play on Saturday afternoons at 2pm. Farmers and locals play very relaxed, non-competitive tennis on our well-maintained courts. We have a well-stocked bar, and sport events are shown on the big screen inside our rustic clubhouse. Braai facilities are available, and the locals will prove to be an entertaining source of information about the village and its surroundings. New balls are provided on Saturdays but not during the week. Appropriate clothing and shoes must be worn at all times.
